I've had the privilege of joining the amazing 1200kms for Kids team on the roads between Brisbane and Warwick for the past 3 years. This year, it's time to go all the way and do the full ride from the Sunshine Coast to Sydney!
Why? Because as a Paediatric Oncologist at the Lady Cilento Children's Hospital (LCCH), I see first-hand how the Children's Hospital Foundation helps improve the lives of sick kids, whether it be through hospital entertainment, equipment, volunteer services or funding research programs such as the Queensland Children's Tumour Bank.
With children and adolescents from across Queensland and Northern NSW all coming to LCCH for life-saving treatment, I also know just how important the work of the Humpty Dumpty Foundation is when it comes to supporting children's hospital services in rural and regional areas.
This year, I'm aiming to raise $15,000 to help 1200kms for Kids help sick kids. If you can, please make a donation to help this important cause. Every bit helps and is hugely appreciated. Thanks!
P.S. When you click on the green "Give Now" button, it may appear that your donation is only going to the Humpty Dumpty Foundation. The donation website can only list one charity, but please be reassured that all money raised through 1200kms for Kids is shared equally between the Humpty Dumpty and Children's Hospital Foundations.
